Can’t Be Love – LAURA IZIBOR
They say love is supposed to set you free
Give you wings to fly
They say love is supposed to hold the key
To life and eternity
Ba da ba da da ba da da
So when the party’s over
You suddenly get colder
And I need someone to hold me tight
And tell me everything is gonna be alright
Can’t be love
‘cos I’m not free
And it ain’t enough
I don’t believe
Oh, believe in love
I don’t believe in love
I don’t believe in love
My current #1
I’ve got a really important test tomorrow and on the first few days of June so I need a great song to motivate me trough the whole process. I can was played on the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011 by the Brittish boy group Blue for the UK. Whatever you do or want to do, remember that YOU CAN! -> Great statement!
Fall Out Boy
Fall Out Boy (short FOB) is one of the most creative, funniest and greatest American rock bands of all times. FOB was formed in 2001 in Illinois by vocalist/guitarist Patrick Stump, bassist Pete Wentz, guitarist Joe Trohman, and drummer Andy Hurley. In 2003 the band released its first record called Take This to Your Grave which was recorded within only two days and actually released against the band’s wishes. From Unter the Cork Tree was released on May 3, 2005 with their hit single Sugar, We’re Going Down. It’s the bands best selling album (sold over 68’000 copies in its first week) and earned double platin after selling more than 2.5 million albums in the United States alone. All in one has it been sold over three million copies worldwide. After From Unter the Cork Tree followed Infinity on High (2007), Folie à Deux (2008) and Save Rock and Roll (2013). Save Rock and Roll (see previous post) istn’t just the bands reformation album after their break from 2009 ’till 2012, it also debuted at number one on the charts by moving 154,000 copies. FOB also announced their Save Rock and Roll tour from May 14, 2013 to June 30, 2013. They’re also going to play in the UK and Japan. The albums hit single My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up) (see previous post) has already been sold over 1’000’000 times worldwide, was certificated Gold and still on the top of my playlist.

80′s
One of the best period of time when it comes to music. Not only because MTV was launched and music videos have been invented (the first music video was Thriller by Michael Jackson, made in 1982), also because a lot of great talents got together, formed awesome bands and produced probably some of the best songs ever. Talents like Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Duran Duran, Prince, Madonna, Queen and so many more. Michael Jackson per example, was the definitive icon of the 1980′s. Speaking of fashion: Here we go with one of my newest pieces:
To all the BETRAYERS!
Someone betrayed me lately, stole a whole bunch of money from me, actually somewhat the amount of the salaries of three monthes toghether!! I try not to freak out althought it’s really hard. So here we go with a piece of the lyrics of the song You Lie by The Band Perry because it suites – or at least some pieces – and because I’m still upset!
So why you lookin’ so nervous
You know you’re gonna deserve this
I oughta kill you right now and do the whole wide world a service
Well my daddy’s gonna straighten you out like a piece of wire,
like a piece of wire
The way you lie
You lie like a priceless Persian rug on a rich man’s floor
And you lie like a coon dog basking in the sunshine on my porch
Well, you lie like a penny in the parking lot at the grocery store
It just comes way too natural to you
The way you lie
Feeder
…is a British alternative rock band and was formed in 1994. The band actually started under the name Reel. Feeder released eight studio albums, three compilations, two EP’s and 34 singles. Their first album Polythene was released in 1997 and got more than bad criticsm, it was rated twice in the top 20 albums of the year in UK though. Aftter Polythene came Yesterday Went Too Soon (1999), Echo Park (2001), Comfort in Sound (2002), Pushing the Senses (2005), Silent Cry (2008), Renegades (2010) and Generation Freakshow (2012). Lots of Feeders critisms include the comparison with Coldplay to wich the band head, Nicholas Grant, says: ”Feeder have a much broader music dynamic musically, and we are a much heavier band, both live and on record. I have a lot of respect for Coldplay and we have toured with them, but we are two totally different bands, both dynamically and musically. I just think it’s lazy journalism”.
Feeder’s most known song is called Feeling a Moment.
Over the course of their career, Feeder has come to release 5 gold records and 3 platinum records.
Band Members:
- Grant Nicholas - lead guitars & lead vocals
- Taka Hirose - bass guitars
- Karl Brazil - drums
- Former
- Jon Lee - drums
