The Cardigans (1992 until present)
The Cardigans are a Swedish rock band formed by Peter Svensson, Magnus Sveningsson, Bengt Lagerberg, Lars-Olof Johansson and lead singer Nina Persson, in 1992 in Jönköping, Sweden. In 1994, the band released it’s first album called Emmerdale, had enormous success in their home country and later in Japan. Life followed in 1995, First Band on the Moon in 1996 and Cran Turismo in 1998. Their sixth record was released in 2003 and is called Long Gone Before Daylight. This record is truly one of the best I’ve ever heard such as their seventh, Super Extra Gravity (2005). One thing, which makes The Cardigans to something really special is their great lyrics. These words have so much power and give lots of food for your thoughts. Such as every artist, do The Cardigans mostly write about love and life itself but they do it in such an incredible way I’ve never heard before. So, for those of you who haven’t heard a single song written by this band yet, do it today!
Overall the band sold over 55 million albums worldwide.
