THE WRECKERS…

The Wreckers (2004-2007)

The Wreckers (2004-2007)

… were a country duo formed by Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp in 2005. Both, Michelle and Jessica, had some own songs produced before the duo’s foundation. In 2006, they released it’s first and only record called stand still, look pretty, which was pretty successful. Agter the releasing, the two singers returned to being solo singers again. On December 4th in 2007, they released a live album called Way Back Home: Live at New York City aswell. In 2006, the duo was nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards and for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal (for their song called Leave the Pieces) at the Grammies. The Wreckers won at the Music Row Awards as Major Label Breakout Artist of the Year and at the R&R Readers’ Poll as Best New Performer in 2007.

Jessica Harp released two albums herself called Preface (2002) and A Woman Needs (2010). Broken Bracelet (2000), The Spirit Room (2001), Hotel Paper (2003) and West Coast Time (2013) were released by Michelle Branch as solo artist. Michelle also appeared in several movies/TV series as guest.

I think it’s really sad that those pretty talents stopped working together because they’ve been really awesome together. But you have to look at the good things whose are their solo songs whose are pretty great aswell. Especially those, written by Michelle Branch like Everywhere or are you happy now? She puts generally lots of stuff which makes you think inside her phoems and merges it with a pretty melody. Just the way I love it. What a talent!

Have a nice day!
