JIMMY EAT WORLD

First of all: Sorry for not writing about another artist last Saturday like I always do on weekends but I was quite busy by doing everything and nothing at the same time. Today, when everything calmed down a little bit, I finaly found some time to do it so here we go:

Jimmy Eat World (1993–present)

Jimmy Eat World (1993–present)

Jimmy Eat World is an American alternative rock band (started as punk rock band first) formed by four awesome talents in 1993. The band’s name came from a drawing made by the guitarist’s younger brother Ed after he lost a pretty hard fight with his other brother Jim Linton. The drawing shows Jim with the Earth in his mouth so the band decieded to call itself Jimmy Eat World. (How cool is this?)

The band released seven records called, Jimmy Eat World (1994), Static Prevails (1996), Clarity (1999), Bleed American (2001), Futures (2004), Chase This Light (2007) and Invented (2010) but also an EP called One, Two, Three, Four in 1994. This year, they’re going to release their eight album called TBA. Jimmy Eat World’s breakthrough came with the release of several singles and the band sold over one and a Million copies of Bleed American and Futures.

Band Members:

  • Jim Adkins — lead vocals, lead guitar, keyboards
  • Tom Linton — rhythm guitar, backing vocals
  • Zach Lind — drums, percussion, programming
  • Rick Burch — bass guitar, backing vocals

Their most popular song’s called The Middle (which’s awesome by the way)
