Billy Squier

William Haislip “Billy” Squier is an american rock musician, born in Boston MA. He started playing the guitar and piano as a pretty young kid but never really cared about music until he discovered Eric Clapton and The Blue Breakers.  Squier had his first public performances in a night club then joined a few bands with whose he realeased a few records. In 1980 he signed with Capitol Records and released his first solo debut which is called The Tale of the Tape. This record was very successful, especially the song You Should Be High Love got massive radio play. Squier released his second record Don’t Say No in 1981 which earned 3x platinum in the US and 2x in Canada. 2x in the US and 1x platinum in Canada earned his third album Emotions in Motion (1982), Signs of Life (1984) even gold. His last five records Enought Is Enough (1986), Hear & Now (1991), Creatures of Habit (1991), Tell the Truth (1993) and Happy Blue (1998) didn’t earn any altough some of these songs peaked for several days.
